The start of the new year for AEW was emotional as well as ambitious for a tenured WWE legend who made a major announcement. This was as promised earlier in the week at AEW Worlds End.
During AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen, Jeff Jarrett came out to address the fans regarding his future in the business. Moreover, his wrestling boots and iconic guitar were already present in the ring.
Double J spoke about his mother and father's early beginnings in wrestling and the high-risk, high-reward decisions that led up to their successes through the years. Jarrett then reflected on his high-risk decision when he dropped out of playing basketball to become a professional wrestler in 1986 and his success in creating a top promotion, TNA.
Following that, Jeff Jarrett revealed he was not ready to ride off in the sunset just yet, as he has signed his last AEW contract as a talent. Furthermore, The Last Outlaw made another big revelation that before he puts his wrestling career to rest, he wants to win AEW gold.

By gold, he did not mean any tag or trios titles, but the biggest singles prize the company had to offer - the AEW World Championship. The WWE legend even noted he would compete in the upcoming Casino Battle Royale taking place next week on Dynamite that grants the winner a shot at the world title.
With Jeff Jarrett seemingly set for the final chapter of his career, it will be interesting if he can end his illustrious career on his own terms and win championship gold before he pulls down the curtains.
