Before becoming All Elite, Kamille was known for her stint in the National Wrestling Alliance. WWE legend Bully Ray discussed the star's past in NWA in a recent interview. Ray also mentioned Roman Reigns and Gunther while talking about the star.
Tony Khan signed The Brick House in February 2024 but she was brought to television in July. Last week, the fans saw Kamille aligning herself with Mercedes Mone and attacking Britt Baker on Dynamite. She made her debut on this week's edition of AEW's flagship show.
On the recent edition of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray reacted to Kamille's debut segment on Dynamite. He stated that he loved the segment. the WWE Hall of Famer added that it will take time for the former NWA star to win over the fans as she's new in the promotion.
Ray then compared Kamille's NWA World Women's Championship run to that of Roman Reigns' and Gunthe's title reign with Undisputed WWE Champion and WWE Intercontinental Championship respectively.
"It's gonna take a while for fans to get used to her, accustomed to her, get to know her. I mean, she was the NWA Champion for over 800 days. It's a hell of a run. You know they like to tout, Roman's run, anybody else that's held the championship. I think she held the NWA Women's Championship longer than Gunther held the Intercontinental Championship. Listen, she has done so well so far. She’s gonna have to win the people over." [From 07:38 to 08:13]

AEW star Kamille reached out to Jim Ross for advice
In one of the recent editions of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross revealed that he has been in contact with Kamille since last month. He stated that the star reached out to him for advice.
Ross said that he gave her the same advice that he gives to everyone which is to be mentally and physically prepared and never be late for work.
"They got plans for her. She’s got a great look. I’ve been texting with her in the last month a few times. She’s reached out, just for advice and things of that nature. My advice to all the talent is pretty much all the same. Don’t be late. Be prepared, mentally and physically, for your role that particular night. Look at every opportunity as just that, an opportunity to get exposure. She got good exposure on Wednesday night, I thought, and she dresses up that roster because she’s got such a good look, so athletic," Ross said.
The WWE legend then praised the former NWA Women's Champion and stated that she is a great addition to Tony Khan's roster.
