WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has admitted that he would've knocked out current AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland for mentioning his kids. The legend reacted to the promo segment on Dynamite.

The latest episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite saw AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland come face-to-face with his challenger at Forbidden Door, Will Ospreay. Swerve made it personal with The Aerial Assassin by mentioning the latter's children, even after getting warned about the same. However, Ospreay didn't get physical despite that.

Bully Ray (fka Bubba Ray Dudley) reflected on the same during the latest episode of Busted Open. The WWE Hall of Famer admitted that he would've knocked the teeth out of Swerve if the latter had mentioned his kids.

"I don't have kids, alright! But if I did, and Swerve [Strickland] said something about one of my kids, and I told him face-to-face, 'Don't say another word about my children again!' and then I walk away, and then Swerve said something else about one of my kids, I would clean his freakin' clock; I would knock him into next Wednesday," he said.

The WWE legend further added:

"He'd [Swerve Strickland] be snoring, and I would knock him out so soundly; I'd drop one fist right on his freakin' jaw, shatter his teeth, take the gold, and go home. Will [Ospreay] didn't do that, and I found myself scratching my head!" [12:18-13:18]

WWE legend claims AEW missed an opportunity with the Swerve Strickland promo

Bully Ray also explained how Will Ospreay should've pounded Swerve Strickland for mentioning his children despite being warned. The WWE legend claimed that AEW missed the opportunity despite a great segment.

"Man, if there was ever a moment for Will to just double-leg swerve and start pounding him, grounding and pounding him, it was that moment. Swerve could've rolled over; I wanted to see a massive pull apart between the guys. [...] I thought it was a little bit of a missed opportunity, despite being a good promo segment that sold me on the match and sold me on Forbidden Door," he added. [13:19-14:09]

It will be interesting to see how the rivalry between Strickland and Ospreay takes shape in the coming weeks.
