WWE legend shockingly returning to help The Rock dethrone Cody Rhodes is possible, according to veteran

A wrestling veteran pitched the idea of a WWE legend returning to cost Cody Rhodes the Undisputed Title against The Rock. The legend is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling.

The WWE legend in question is Dustin Rhodes (fka Goldust). Dustin recently revealed that he has re-signed with AEW. It was a blow to the fans who wanted to see him back in the Stamford-based promotion alongside his brother, Cody Rhodes.

Meanwhile, WWE veteran, Dutch Mantell, believes that there is still a story between Cody and Dustin involving Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson that could be told.

Speaking on his Story Time podcast, Dutch Mantell put forward the idea of The Natural costing The American Nightmare his title against The Final Boss. The Rhodes brothers could then possibly go on to have a feud between themselves. You can check his quotes below:

"They could do a deal if he's [Cody Rhodes] gonna lose that title to The Rock or something, they could get Dustin [Rhodes] involved in that. Make him the reason that he loses so the belt reverts over to Rock, which is where they want it. But in the meantime, he leaves Cody with a story with his brother." [From 4:03-4:27]

The Rock is set to appear on major WWE RAW episode

WWE RAW is set to make its debut on Netflix this week with a major premiere episode. While the show was already stacked, The Final Boss also announced his appearance on the show in advance with a long message on social media.

Fans still don't know who The Great One will confront on Monday Night RAW's Netflix premiere, and it will be found out on the red brand this week. Could the legend confront either Roman Reigns or Solo Sikoa after their Tribal Combat? Only time will tell.
