A former WWE World Heavyweight Champion played the role of a special guest referee in the main event of the latest episode of AEW Collision. The show ended in chaos, catching viewers off guard.

The WWE legend in question is Christian Cage. He was appointed as the special guest referee for the main event on Collision. The show was headlined by a trios bout between House of Black and Bang Bang Gang to determine the number one contenders for the AEW World Trios Title.

Interestingly, Christian, who was announced as the special referee for the match, is currently the World Trios Champion along with his Patriarchy faction. The Collision main event was a back-and-forth encounter until all the men went down. Christian Cage deliberately counted to 10, and the bout ended in no contest.

After the match, Killswitch and Nick Wayne came out to assault both House of Black and Bang Bang Gang, and the show ended with The Patriarchy standing tall. Meanwhile, the World Trios Title number one contenders match ending in a no-contest was a big cliffhanger, and it remains to be seen how the Christian Cage-led faction's challengers will be determined.
