A WWE legend crossed a huge line once again this week on AEW Dynamite, targeting World Champion Jon Moxley. The star, Christian Cage, shockingly invoked The One True King's past struggles with addiction.
The Patriarch watched the opening tag match of Dynamite: Winter is Coming from a Skybox with his stablemates. After the chaotic conclusion of the bout, Cage took to a microphone and fired off against Jay White and Hangman Page. He blamed The Switchblade for foiling his cash-in attempt on the AEW World champ at Full Gear 2024 and accused The Cowboy of not keeping his word to help him secure the championship at the pay-per-view.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion went on to disparage Orange Cassidy before finally addressing Jon Moxley. Cage informed The Purveyor of Violence that he might execute his title contract after Moxley's fatal four-way title defense at Worlds End. Cage went even further by referencing Moxley's past issues with alcohol addiction.
"But my biggest problem is with you, Jon Moxley because you have what I want. And if you happen to make it out of that match as the champion, just know that I very well could be waiting on the other side, and if I am, this time, I'm not gonna miss. I will send you back to rock bottom. You'll hear that little voice in your head saying, 'It's okay, Jon, do it, you earned it, have that drink.' I will send you back to rehab while I'm forced to rehab the World Heavyweight Championship."
Following his promo, however, Cage would be ambushed by HOOK, whose arm he smashed last week on AEW Dynamite.
