Chris Jericho has been with AEW since day one. He has wrestled numerous rising stars, along with familiar faces such as Jon Moxley, Dustin Rhodes, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and even Juventud Guerrera. Now a former World Champion wants one more chance to lock up with Jericho and other legends inside the All Elite ring.

Rob Van Dam is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished pro wrestlers, with an in-ring skillset to match. The WWE Hall of Famer continues to work indie shows and has wrestled six AEW matches since the summer of 2023, with half of those happening this year. His main ally in the company is HOOK, who has been feuding with Jericho.

RVD and the current FTW Champion first shared the ring as partners in 1996 for the original ECW and then traded wins that same year. The 53-year-old grapplers then shared the ring more than 50 times in WWE.

The Whole F'N Show continues to express interest in a match with some of the other former WWE Superstars, mainly The Learning Tree. Speaking on his 1 Of A Kind podcast, RVD also named Christian Cage and Adam Copeland fka Edge as potential opponents in AEW. He was asked who has his eye right now:

A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE

"I would really like to work with one of my peers that I’ve worked with before. You put me up against a young new guy, they get a rub, it’s a good chance for them. I can still roll with them, but if we had say RVD vs. Edge, or Christian, or Jericho... I’ve had some outstanding matches with those guys, and I have no doubt that if we were to get in the ring again, it would be f*****g outstanding," Rob Van Dam said. [From 1:30:45 to 1:31:49]

The former WWE Champion mentioned how his in-ring style doesn't always mesh with younger generations. Van Dam said he's been asked to do moves that he thinks are "stupid or don't make sense," and he's talked them out of it. He believes an AEW match with one of these legends would blow everyone away:

"I would really be stoked to do something like that. 20 minutes, something, 15 minutes at least. A long match with somebody from closer to my generation... I can be myself, and the acrobatic one moving around them, just like I always was. We can f*****g tell a great story that everyone understands, and man, I'll tell you what... I think people would be blown away by the results of that. I really do," Rob Van Dam said. [From 1:32:38 to 1:33:03]

Jericho and RVD last wrestled each other on July 15, 2013. Van Dam won the RAW main event in just under 22 minutes that night. The last RVD vs. Christian singles bout came on November 10, 2003, as Van Dam retained the Intercontinental Championship in the RAW opener. RVD and Edge last tangled during RAW on February 19, 2007, with The Rated R Superstar getting the win.
