WWE veteran blasts Mercedes Mone's attitude in AEW; says she's "insufferable"

Mercedes Mone is having the run of her lifetime in AEW. However, a WWE veteran has commented on her attitude.

Jim Cornette is the latest to comment on Mercedes Mone. The CEO has been dominant in the ring since her debut in AEW last year. Within a year, she won three titles from three major promotions, establishing herself as one of the top female stars in the world. Given that she holds multiple titles, she also has many challengers gunning for her, and the CEO has had to defend her titles quite regularly.

One of her toughest challenges occurred at AEW Worlds End when Kris Statlander challenged her for the TBS Championship. Both women put on a spectacular showing that lasted over 20 minutes. It was also the longest match in AEW history.

Speaking on his The Experience podcast, Jim Cornette reviewed The CEO's match at Worlds End. He said that despite putting on a near-perfect match, Mone still couldn't draw any money due to her performances on the mic and her insufferable attitude:

"If you've got just two people who are not in the slightest over having a technically perfect match you still ain't draw any money and with the performances that Mercedes has turned in with her promos, her angles, her insufferable generally douche-baggy attitude that you can tell that she thinks she's a lot bigger star in real life even than she can ever hope to be. I'm not going to sit there and watch her do s**t with Kris Statlander for 25 minutes." [7:40 - 8:20]

Konnan also said that Mercedes Mone is not entertaining

Despite her dominant run in AEW, Mercedes Mone has come under a lot of criticism from fans and critics. Many people have criticized her promo skills and her lack of personality which has gone against her. This has also prevented her from being one of the most talked about women in wrestling.

Speaking on his Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan said that although The CEO competes frequently in the ring, she is not entertaining which has made her redundant:

"Here's the problem with Mone. She's become kind of redundant even though when she wrestles, she has matches. But her character is very redundant. She's not entertaining like let's say a Kevin Owens or MJF or a Christian. She's just not entertaining."

It will be interesting to see if Mercedes Mone will continue to pursue more titles from other promotions.
