A veteran recently discussed Mark Henry leaving AEW to potentially join WWE, leading to a conversation about the state of the young stars today. According to the veteran, Vince Russo, the up-and-coming talent lack respect for their elders in the pro-wrestling business.
Mark Henry recently went on record to say that he was open to working with WWE someday, fueling speculation about his future. His sudden departure from AEW in May also caught many by surprise when he explained that he was not going to renew his contract. According to Russo, this all stems from how the youngsters treated him in Tony Khan's company.
Speaking on the latest episode of Writing with Russo, hosted by Mac Davis, Vince Russo explained how disrespectful and unenthusiastic the new generation of wrestlers was about learning from veterans.

The WWE veteran further talked about the AEW locker room
According to Vince Russo, AEW has a large number of veterans whose experience was wasted on the youths.
Adding to his previous comments, the WWE veteran stated on Writing with Russo that over the years, many veterans in AEW may have gotten tired of being ignored by the young generation of wrestlers. He said:
"Everything I hear about AEW and the rich wealth of veterans they have there. The endless list, I mean, Jake was there, Dean Malenko was there, JR is there, and Tony Schiavone, and the list goes on. From everything I hear, it's like those guys tried, but they just got to the point of 'You know what man? I am just gonna collect the paycheck, and I am just gonna do my job because this young athlete today does not want to listen.'" [2:44 onwards]
