A former WWE writer has hilariously predicted that a top AEW name could call up Vince McMahon to join hands and create a new wrestling promotion. Vince Russo believes Jeff Jarrett was one of the smartest businessmen and wouldn't mind teaming up with the former WWE CEO to form a brand new company.

Following the serious allegations leveled against him earlier this year, McMahon resigned from the Stamford-based promotion for the second time. Since then there's been rampant speculation on what could be next on the 78-year-old's plate.

On his Vince Russo's The Brand podcast, the former WWE writer made a bizarre and hilarious prediction about what could lie ahead for McMahon.

Russo stated that if there was anyone who could team up with Vince McMahon to start a new wrestling company, it was AEW star Jeff Jarrett. The veteran explained that Jarrett was among those who wouldn't let go of any business opportunity.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"Bro, if there's one guy to call Vince McMahon...Jeff Jarrett takes advantage of every fricking business opportunity. When I saw Global Force Wrestling, I thought Vince McMahon was gonna sink two billion dollars into Global Force Wrestling," said Vince Russo. [From 02:55 to 02:15]

Jarrett is the founder of IMPACT Wrestling, a company that legitimately challenged WWE's dominance over the wrestling business in the late 2000s to early 2010s.

Dutch Mantell doesn't see Vince McMahon starting a new company

On the latest edition of his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the former WWE manager said he didn't see McMahon going ahead with creating a new company.

However, Mantell does believe that the former WWE CEO could instead possibly acquire another existing promotion.

"Do I think he'll start it? Hell no. And the reason I mentioned. He's too old to start something. He just wants to be the boss. He wouldn't have to start one, he could just take one over that already got the background laid down. Hell, he could go into business with Tony Khan. Now that would be news. That would be news that we could sit and we could talk about. Tony Khan and Vince McMahon going into business together."

It'll be interesting to see if McMahon chooses to lay low or if he could make a splash by announcing a new project within or outside the wrestling industry.
