According to recent reports, Tony Khan's AEW might get a new addition to its roster. Former WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin is reportedly on the verge of joining the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Benjamin was released from the Stamford-based promotion in September 2023. He was heavily rumored to become All Elite, and the latest report has somewhat led the speculation to turn into certainty.
The Gold Standard was a part of The Hurt Business stable in WWE. Another former member of the stable, MVP, made his debut at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam last week. The wrestling veteran confronted Prince Nana and expressed his desire to take Swerve Strickland under his wing and become his manager.
Shelton Benjamin might soon join MVP in Tony Khan's company. A new report from WrestlePurists claimed that the former WWE Intercontinental Champion was AEW-bound and could sign a contract with the promotion soon.

''Great signing! He's a veteran who can do it all,'' an excited fan wrote.
"A great wrestler! I’m sure he’ll have something good going with MVP and The Hurt Business over there," another fan wrote.

""Isn’t every match @miayim [Michin] is in a Dumpster match?" he wrote.
After being released from the Stamford-based promotion, Benjamin started working in the independent territories. It will be interesting to see if he turns All Elite in the coming days.
