A WCW veteran just lashed out at AEW stars Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. He did so for an interesting reason.
Disco Inferno first came into the limelight during the days of WCW, where he wrestled in the mid-card. During his time in WCW, Disco Inferno won the Cruiserweight Title, the Tag Team Title, and the World Television Title. After retiring from the ring, Inferno started appearing on podcasts as well as doing other work.
During a recent episode of Keepin' It 100, Disco Inferno lashed out at Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay for focusing more on the star ratings of their matches rather than winning the actual match itself.
"Kenny Omega's called himself The Best Bout Machine, Okada is calling himself The Best Bout Machine, Ospreay says he has the best matches. It's like, dude, they're literally all they're talking about is like the ratings of your matches with each other, like how good your matches are, and I just, that does not resonate with soap opera storytelling in my opinion. It's silly, you know? What's the story?"

He continued:
"We're going to go out there like the two are going to be in the ring together, like what are you gonna argue afterwards, it gets four and three quarter stars and you're going to blame the other guys for not getting five and that's going to be like a promo afterwards. I mean the guys should be talking about beating each other not talking about performing and having great matches like this community likes that but this community is getting smaller and smaller like month-to-month and you're bleeding fans." Kenny Omega was all praise for Triple H's booking
Ever since Triple H took over as creative head for WWE, the company has seen great success, including record gates and one of the most acclaimed WrestleManias ever. Even Kenny Omega couldn't help but praise The Game's booking.
During a recent Twitch stream, Omega praised Triple H's openmindedness to different wrestling styles.
"Everyone seems to know just what he is booking and what he isn't booking. Even as a wrestler who has kind of like an inside track, I don't know what his ideas are," said Omega. "I don't know what's a result of just what comes from his brain and his brain alone, so I can't comment to that. What I do appreciate is that he's open-minded to all the styles of the world of wrestling. I think I'm sure he probably prefers one over the other or some over others, but I like that he's giving everything a shot." [H/T Fightful]
Omega is currently on the injured list due to diverticulitis, and there is no official confirmation of when he will return to the ring.
