Tony Khan has just announced the return of a popular match for AEW Dynamite tomorrow night. Many fans took this as a tease at the arrival of several free agents to the company. This would be the Motor City Machine Guns.
The duo, consisting of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, have been free agents for some time now following the end of their run with TNA earlier this year. However, they have yet to reveal where they are headed next, with great interest reported from both AEW and WWE. Recent reports have indicated that they may be favoring the latter.
Earlier today, Tony Khan revealed that the Casino Gauntlet match will return on Dynamite tomorrow night, but this time around, it will instead feature top tag teams from the promotion. This will also determine the next challengers for The Young Bucks' titles.
Several fans believed that in a match with none of the competitors being revealed ahead of time, there could be surprises. For many, this would be the arrival of MCMG. They were previously linked to the Tony Khan-led promotion, but no official confirmation of an agreement surfaced.
"MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS LETS GOOOOO, " a fan reacted.
"Motor City Machine Guns???" another wondered.
"Motor City!!!!" one said.
Another fan praised Khan for another interesting match being booked on his show. Others began to make their early predictions, with some believing the likes of MxM Collection and The Outrunners could surprise everyone during the match.
"You're spoiling us, TK!" another claimed.
"It MxM Collection Time," one mentioned.
"Calling it now. Outrunners lol," another claimed.
The Young Bucks previously teased MCMG's arrival to AEW
Back in March, AEW held a tournament to determine the new AEW World Tag Team Champions after the titles were vacated following Sting's retirement from the business.
During one of The Young Bucks' matches in said tournament, they hit one of Motor City Machine Guns' signature moves, Made in Detroit. At the time, several reports of the top tag team being linked to the company had surfaced so this looked to be a hint at them possibly joining the promotion.
Although in the coming months, not a single peep came regarding their status, this could change before the year ends. Fans will just have to stay tuned tomorrow night to find out whether AEW has just brought in another set of top free agents to their company in MCMG.
