Orange Cassidy, (real name - James Cipperly), is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He is known for his laid-back, almost apathetic demeanor in the ring, often appearing disinterested and lethargic. However, he is considered to be one of the best in-ring wrestlers in the world at the moment.

Cassidy's signature style involves minimal effort, often keeping his hands in his pockets while delivering kicks and taking down opponents with a nonchalant slouch. Beyond his in-ring persona, Cassidy is also a two-time AEW International Champion. His first reign holds the record for the longest in the title's history. He is also a member of the popular wrestling stable Best Friends.

Cassidy was born on May 4, 1984, in Stewartsville, New Jersey, USA. He graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 2002 and got his bachelor’s degree in Science and Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2007. He had already started pursuing a career in pro wrestling while completing his graduation.

The King of Sloth Style made his in-ring debut in 2004 at Ground Breaking Wrestling. He would go on to be a member of the Chikara roster for two different stints, first in 2005 and then from 2012 to 2016. Cassidy was on the inaugural roster of AEW when the company launched in 2019, and made his debut at AEW Double or Nothing, which was the first-ever event organized by the wrestling promotion.

What Finisher Does Orange Cassidy Use?

Orange Cassidy uses the Orange Punch as his finisher. This move, a seemingly nonchalant punch to the opponent’s chest, often appears weak and unthreatening. However, its effectiveness lies in its speed and timing, often catching opponents off guard and leading to a pinfall victory. Besides the Orange Punch, Orange Cassidy is also known for a few more signature moves.

Slow Motion Kicks: These are light, almost comedic taps to the opponent's shins, often delivered with a bored expression. While these slow-motion kicks hardly even tickle the opponent, they are enough to throw the crowd into a frenzy.

Beach Break: This move involves Cassidy grabbing his opponent's head in a side headlock and then falling backward, pulling the opponent down with him in a rolling pin-like motion.

Pocketed Dives: True to his carefree persona, Cassidy sometimes performs dives from the top turnbuckle or ring apron with his hands still in his pockets, adding an element of surprise and comedic flair.

Mousetrap: In this submission move, Cassidy traps one of his opponent's arms behind their back while applying pressure with his legs, forcing them to tap out.
