It seems that there might be some cracks showing in The Bloodline recently, which might grow larger if AEW manages to sign Roman Reigns' cousin.
Reigns' cousin Jacob Fatu, the current MLW National Openweight Champion, has dominated Major League Wrestling over the past four years.
Fatu held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship for 819 days between 2019 and 2021, as well as winning titles around the independent circuit, but it seems that wasn't good enough for WWE, who have passed up on signing Fatu on multiple occasions.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Since WWE didn't sign Jacob Fatu, this is the perfect time for AEW to swoop in and add the MLW star to their heavyweight division, and they might have a great chance, given their good relationship with Major League Wrestling.
A number of AEW's top stars have not only passed through MLW's doors but have been highly successful. Taya Valkyrie was the Women's Featherweight Champion as recently as April 2023, The Lucha Brothers have been the tag team champions, and MJF was the company's first-ever Cruiserweight Champion.
Given how many stars have joined All Elite Wrestling from MLW, the chances of Jacob Fatu signing for Tony Khan seem to be a little bit stronger than him becoming a member of The Bloodline. But as the old saying goes in wrestling, "Anything is possible."
Konnan is surprised AEW and WWE haven't signed Jacob Fatu
Because of his family legacy and how dominant he has been in MLW and on the independent scene, it should be a matter of time when and not if Jacob Fatu signs with either WWE or AEW.
It seems that people within the business are also assuming Fatu will sign for one of the biggest companies in the world, as Konnan recently stated that he is stunned no one has signed him yet.
Konnan recently spoke about Jacob Fatu and the current MLW Heavyweight Champion Alex Hammerstone on his "Keepin' It 100" podcast and stated that both of them should get snapped up soon.
