AEW is always looking for key talents to sign and it seems like a WCW veteran recently inked a deal with the Tony Khan-led company. The veteran is none other than Ray Lloyd.

Ray Lloyd was known as Glacier in WCW and was a part of the promotion from 1996 to 1999. Glacier's character in WCW was unique as it was inspired by Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero. The veteran currently wrestles part-time in the ring as he's also dedicated to his acting career.

In a recent report by Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp, it was revealed that the WCW veteran had been signed by the company as a producer and coach a couple of weeks ago.

"A former WCW star has been working for AEW for a couple of months now. On a recent episode of Dynamite, Ray Lloyd, also known as Glacier, was seen on screen breaking up a fight on the show. This led many to ask whether or not Glacier was serving as an extra, or was a regular behind the scenes. Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that Glacier was recently hired by the company. He's been working as a producer/coach with AEW. Glacier hasn't completely retired from in-ring action, either. He competed at QT Marshall's TCW show in February, and worked a couple of matches in 2022. Glacier was also a part of the first Casino Battle Royale in AEW history back in 2019." -Fightful

Tony Khan would love to bring Shaq to AEW

All Elite President Tony Khan recently addressed the possibility of bringing Shaquille O'Neal back to the promotion. Shaq made his debut in All Elite Wrestling in 2020 and was involved in a feud with Cody and Brandi Rhodes. The veteran also competed in a tag team match where he teamed up with Red Velvet to take on The Rhodes couple.

Speaking in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Tony Khan heaped praise on Shaquille O'Neal and stated that he would love to have the giant back in the company.

“I would love to have Shaq back in AEW any time he’s available. He’s one of the greatest basketball players of all-time, and he’s extremely talented on-air in a number of roles. Shaq is also the greatest celebrity wrestler in wrestling history." [H/T - Sports Illustrated]

Shaquille O'Neal has also appeared in the WWE before. He was featured in 2009 and also competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32.
