AEW has been making moves to become the best wrestling company in the world. The promotion has now reportedly hired a former WWE employee. All Elite Wrestling is on course to have one of its best financial years ever with the closure of its recent deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. The Jacksonville-based promotion has grown by leaps and bounds since its initial years.

Tony Khan has left no stone unturned to make his company stand out and prove that this is ''where the best wrestle.'' Over the years, the company has hired several former WWE stars like Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, and many more. In a bid to show that the company can compete with the Stamford-based promotion, All Elite Wrestling has increased its production quality and has even started doing international shows.

The promotion has already done a couple of shows in London and is set to stage the fifth edition of the Grand Slam in Brisbane, Australia, next year. Now, it looks like Tony Khan is ready to take his company to the next level. According to PWInsider, AEW has hired Chris Provino to work on sponsorships and partnerships.

Chris has previously worked with the XFL and even in WWE, where he worked as Coordinator of International TV and Affiliate Marketing. Provino also has experience in marketing, athlete development, and international business development for the UFC.

AEW also hired a former WWE employee for a backstage role earlier this year

AEW is trying to build the best possible product that can compete with WWE, which is creatively led by Triple H. Hence, the Jacksonville-based promotion is pulling out all the stops.

Earlier this year, All Elite Wrestling hired Kosha Irby to serve as its Chief Operating Officer. He previously worked for WWE from 2011 to 2017 as the Regional Director of Live Events.

It will be interesting to see if the Tony Khan-led promotion hires more former WWE personalities in the coming months.
