Tony Khan has seemingly left the door open for two WWE legends to work in AEW in the future. These two stars left All Elite Wrestling one by one over the last couple of months. The stars are none other than Matt and Jeff Hardy.

The duo was part of AEW for a few years but was not fully used to their potential. Matt left after his contract expired in April. Since then, he has gone on to wrestle in TNA and is now one of their main stars. Similarly to Matt, Jeff left AEW after his contract expired on June 14 and has gone on to appear in TNA.

Fightful Select has now reported that AEW is open to the former WWE stars returning in the future and that the door “seems to remain open.”

If that is the case, it makes sense for the duo to maintain a good relationship with Tony Khan, given that he is the President of the company. If and when they do decide to make a comeback, it would be interesting to see how they are pushed given that their initial run in the company was very underwhelming.

Is Drew McIntyre going to TNA? More details here.
