WWE and AEW are set to go head-to-head later this winter. The Stamford-based promotion recently announced a live show in Orlando, Florida, as part of its Holiday Tour. The live event will take place at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida, on December 28, 2024. Interestingly, Tony Khan's promotion is set to stage AEW Worlds End 2024 at the Addition Financial Arena in the city on the same date. New details have come to light regarding the Jacksonville-based promotion's reaction to the recent development.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the company is not surprised by WWE's actions. The journalist called this move by the Stamford-based promotion "intentional" and admitted that it could affect ticket sales for Worlds End 2024.
“Based on the reactions that I’ve got, just a, ‘Well, of course, they are!’ type of thing. Yes, it will affect ticket sales. WWE is a very, very hot ticket right now, and it’s their holiday tour, so that will do good. This is obviously intentional and a concentrated effort, and it’s a part of competition. It’s the nature of competition and the way things work,” he said. [H/T: Fightful]

Saraya makes an urgent request to Tony Khan and The Young Bucks ahead of AEW All In 2024
Toni Storm is set to defend her AEW Women's World Championship against Mariah May at All In 2024. However, before that, she will defend the title against Saraya on this week's Dynamite. The match was made official after Storm decided to give the erstwhile Paige a shot at her title in recognition of the latter's birthday.
Notably, Saraya, who celebrated her birthday on August 17, cut a promo this past week on Rampage in which the 32-year-old claimed that she never got a rematch for the AEW Women's World Championship.
Ahead of the match, Saraya took to social media to plead with Tony Khan and The Young Bucks to cancel her match on Dynamite and add her to the title match at All In.
"Hey @TonyKhan @youngbucks, do I HAVEEEE [sic] to wrestle Toni Wednesday, or could you do me a birthday favor and just put me on All In?" she wrote.
It will be interesting to see how Saraya fares in her title match this Wednesday.
