The latest report revealed that AEW signed a former WWE Superstar a month before his debut this week. The said star is now All Elite after his appearance at Grand Slam.

The popular former WWE star is none other than MVP. The 50-year-old veteran recently departed from the Stamford-based promotion and was rumored to arrive in All Elite Wrestling. He showed up at Dynamite: Grand Slam this week interrupting Prince Nana and offered his managerial services for Swerve Strickland.

It was later reported that MVP has officially signed a deal with Tony Khan's promotion and it was not just a one-off appearance. Meanwhile, a recent report reveals that MVP was signed one month before his debut. According to PWInsider, both MVP and AEW "came to terms on a deal about a month ago."

Moreover, MVP's former The Hurt Business stablemates, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, are also been rumored to make their move to AEW after their WWE departure.

Former WWE star on his potential in-ring retirement

The former WWE United States Champion has now entered his 50s and fans are wondering whether he is thinking of retiring from in-ring competition. During a recent K & S Wrestlefest signing, MVP addressed the matter and stated the following:

"I'm not done just yet. I have a little bit more left in the tank before I retire. I have a match in November with Josh Barnett's Bloodsport. When I hang up the boots, I will hang them up for good. I will be done. I won't be one of those guys coming back out of retirement here and there. I want to do it, like I've done my career up to this point, my way. I look forward to that day when it's all done, but we're not there yet."

Meanwhile, MVP has made his All Elite debut and fans could expect him to show his in-ring skills there as well. Only time will tell what's next for the veteran.
