AEW hosted former WWE Superstars A.J. Francis (fka Top Dolla) and Tom Pestock (fka Baron Corbin) backstage at its second annual Worlds End pay-per-view last night. A new report has now revealed that a third former superstar was also present.
Tyler Breeze became a fan favorite alongside his partner, Fandango, in WWE. Unfortunately, both stars were released in June 2021. While Fandango has joined TNA, Breeze has made only sporadic appearances on the independent scene since departing the Stamford-based company.
According to Fightful Select, Tyler Breeze was backstage at Worlds End 2024. The report noted that he lives in the Orlando area and was visiting friends in All Elite Wrestling.
Breeze is a co-owner of Flatbacks Wrestling School alongside former AEW star Shawn Spears, and he's also a regular host on UpUpDownDown. Fightful indicated that the 36-year-old is successful enough outside the ring that he's able to wrestle whenever he wants.
A.J. Francis thanks Tony Khan for allowing him backstage at AEW Worlds End
All Elite Wrestling opened its doors to A.J. Francis, Tom Pestock, and Tyler Breeze last night. While the former Baron Corbin is still riding out his 90-day non-compete clause after his WWE release, Francis has remained active in the wrestling scene.
The former Top Dolla took to X/Twitter today with a message of thanks to AEW's top brass. He also gave fans a look at the "one-day talent" sticker the company assigned him backstage:
"'One Day Talent' 💰Thank you to @TonyKhan @QTMarshall & @ShawnDean773 for allowing me to see some friends and have a fun night."
A.J. Francis was recently spotted with members of The Hurt Syndicate, who are still aggressively recruiting on weekly television and could reach out to the former Hit Row member. Whether the 34-year-old joins Tony Khan's promotion remains to be seen.
