Jamie Hayter has been missing from the squared circle in AEW for nearly a year. An intriguing update has recently emerged concerning the former Women's World Champion.
Hayter has been signed with All Elite Wrestling since 2021 and is one of the most popular stars of the Tony Khan-led company's women's division. Her incredible in-ring talent and connection with the fans catapulted her to the top when she won the AEW Women's World Title in 2022. Unfortunately, Hayter's reign ended at Double or Nothing 2023 when she dropped the title to Toni Storm. The English star had reportedly been working through an injury during that time and has not been in action since then.
During an interview last month, Tony Khan could not offer a timetable for Hayter's return, although he expressed his excitement at the prospect of bringing her back to television following her recovery. A new report has now emerged from Fightful Select on the status of the 29-year-old star.
According to the report, Jamie Hayter recently attended a Dynamite show alongside other talent from the locker room. Her presence there was noted as a positive indicator of her recovery, although no definite timeframes or plans are yet available regarding her return to action, considering the gravity of her injury, which is evidently a serious one.

The report noted that Hayter has been keeping to herself and focusing on her rehabilitation for the most part and that AEW talent had not heard much about or from the former Stardom talent.
Furthermore, the report claimed that there were discussions in AEW about the possibility of Jamie Hayter coming back this year. Talent from the Jacksonville-based promotion has reportedly been pitched matches involving Hayter in case she does return, and sources close to the star and from AEW are supposedly confident about the prospect of her comeback.
It remains to be seen whether Jamie Hayter will return to All Elite Wrestling in 2024.
