AEW signed arguably its biggest acquisition exactly 34 months ago when Bryan Danielson joined the company. The multi-time champion has been a top talent since then, while also providing his unique expertise behind the scenes. New reports have come to light on what's coming up for Danielson.
The American Dragon recently wrestled his 101st match for All Elite Wrestling. He defeated Shingo Takagi in the opening round of The Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at Forbidden Door, he then advanced to the final by defeating PAC on this week's Dynamite.
Danielson's opponent will be determined on tomorrow's Collision as Jay White faces 'Hangman' Adam Page. The tournament winner will then challenge Swerve Strickland for the World Championship at AEW All In.

Danielson is currently the favorite to win the third annual Owen Hart Cup, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The final will air during Dynamite on July 10 from Owen's hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

AEW sources weren't clear on whether the company would book the 25-year veteran to capture the World Championship from Swerve Strickland at the pay-per-view. However, the title change would make for a major moment inside Wembley Stadium.
Danielson has never held any AEW title and has even said he does not want the World Championship. The 42-year-old also indicated that he never wants to stop wrestling, but this would be his final year as a full-time wrestler. A huge World Championship victory could be the perfect way to top it off for the legend.
AEW Rampage updated lineup for tonight's special episode
All Elite Wrestling will present the 2024 Beach Break edition of Rampage later tonight on TNT. The episode was taped on Wednesday at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL, and is a follow-up to Dynamite: Beach Break.

The winner of tonight's May vs. Shida match will advance to the final of The Owen Cup on Wednesday's Dynamite. They will face Willow Nightingale, who defeated Kris Statlander on Dynamite.
