AEW seems to be closing in on a new television deal with its network partner, Warner Bros. Discovery. A new report has shed some light on the young promotion's pay-per-views moving forward, and it's good news for many fans.

Up until now, All Elite Wrestling has run a traditional pay-per-view model, with fans in the United States paying upwards of $50 for each offering, while international viewers paid $15-25 on average. However, speculation is rife that the promotion's PPVs could be included in the new TV deal between AEW and WBD.

Recent reports have indicated that the deal was all but done and could be announced in the coming weeks, but very little information has been provided on the platform for the pay-per-views.

On today's episode of the Mat Men Podcast, Andrew Zarian claimed that there were plans for All Elite Wrestling's pay-per-views to air on MAX starting in January 2025. While he doesn't know the price point or whether the events will be included in standard subscriptions for the streaming service, he did note that they will likely remain available on traditional outlets as well.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"I will say that they will be on MAX in January. They could do it sooner, but I do know that they're planning on January. I do know that pay-per-views are gonna be on there. They don't have exclusivity on the pay-per-view, so it'll also be available other places like WWE is. You know, you could still order those pay-per-views that are on Peacock, the PLEs. I don't know pricing; I never asked," he said. [14:36 - 15:00]

Zarian also commented on potential simulcasts for AEW programming, although he couldn't confirm whether all the changes will be available from the start of the new deal.

"I do know that there is a very, very—again, I'm very certain that they're gonna be simulcasting also. That's part of what's in the works. I don't know if that'll be from the beginning of the MAX deal or they'll add it later on, but they will be there," he added. [15:02 - 15:17]

Tony Khan hints that new AEW-WBD deal could be announced very soon

Fans have been chomping at the bit for any news on the negotiations between All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros. Discovery. AEW President, Tony Khan, has teased that an announcement could be imminent.

With rumors swirling about the WBD deal being done, negotiations with FOX, and the staggering amount of money that might be involved, Tony Khan stated at the All Out media scrum on September 7 that there was a 90% chance an official announcement would be made in the next month.

While the promotion is not reportedly in trouble financially, a huge new contract with Warner Bros. Discovery—alongside the rumored AEW Shockwave on FS1—would surely provide security and a potential budget increase for Tony Khan's company. It remains to be seen whether the recent reports turn out to be true.
