Former WWE Superstar, Buddy Matthews has reportedly been written off of AEW TV after getting checked by the medical team on Collision last week. Buddy reportedly will not be on TV for some time due to personal commitments.
Last Saturday on the one-year anniversary of AEW Collision, House of Black returned to trios action, as Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews squared off against Juice Robinson, Austin, and Colten Gunn of the Bang Bang Gang. Buddy showcased his amazing athleticism before seemingly getting hurt.
Matthews then got checked on by the medical team at the ringside and was later taken to the back due to injury concerns. Nevertheless, HOB secured the win in the main event of the show. Meanwhile, Mike Johnson of PWInsider has an update regarding Buddy Matthews after the injury concerns on Collision last week.
Mike Johnson reported that Matthews getting injured last Saturday was "100% a storyline work." Furthermore, the report also stated that the purpose of doing the injury angle was so that Buddy could attend a family event with his fiancee and WWE Superstar, Rhea Ripley in Australia. It is unclear when Matthews will be seen again on AEW TV after his personal commitments.

Buddy Matthews suffered a backstage attack after getting injured
After Buddy Matthews got escorted out of the arena by the AEW medical team in the midst of his match on Collision last week, Malakai Black assured a victory for the House of Black over the Bang Bang Gang despite the odds.
After the match, Christian Cage along with The Patriarchy appeared on the titantron to tease a feud with HOB. Christian then shocked everyone by showing Buddy on the ground attacked by a steel chair.
