Chris Jericho has been regarded as one of the top stars in the AEW who has been with the company since its inception. He was the inaugural All Elite World Champion and gave the promotion a huge headstart during its early years.

Despite being a crucial figure in terms of the existence of AEW, the former FTW Champion is largely criticized by fans due to his recent run. His current heel gimmick of the Learning Tree doesn't sit well with the fans. He has joined forces with Big Bill and Bryan Keith and has been feuding with The Conglomeration.

Last month, Chris Jericho gave a huge update on his contract with the Tony Khan-led promotion. He revealed he had signed a three-year contract extension deal in 2022, which is set to expire in 2025. He also stated that he would have a massive contract year yet.

Recently, WrestlePurists provided a new update on the situation. It noted that no injury time is set to be added to his current contract.

Chris Jericho reveals if he will return to WWE in the future

The former AEW World Champion was a huge star in WWE and won multiple championships throughout his tenure. He left the Stamford-based promotion and helped to launch the new promotion in 2019.

On Comic Book, Chris Jericho stated that he would work for WWE in the future if the opportunity presents itself.

“I enjoyed working there in the past, and I can probably work there in the future as well. We’ll see. To me, business is business, but I enjoy working with AEW; I enjoy all that we’ve accomplished since day one, especially now with the new TV deal. We did what we set out to do, which was to change the course of wrestling history—Tony and I and all of us have done that," he said.
