A current AEW star is expected to be at WWE's Performance Center this week, according to a recent report, which could be interpreted as an indication of their departure from the Tony Khan-led company. The talent in question is Penta El Zero Miedo.

Penta and his real-life brother, Rey Fenix, are known as The Lucha Bros., one of the most respected tag teams in the world. The duo have been one of the mainstays of the division in the Jacksonville-based promotion and possess the accolades to prove it, having held the AEW World Tag Team Championship as well as the AEW World Trios Titles with their Death Triangle stablemate, PAC.

Despite their role in legitimizing and popularizing All Elite Wrestling since its early days, recent reports indicate that The Lucha Bros could be on their way out of the company after their contracts expire. They are also heavily rumored to be headed to WWE. Amidst speculations regarding the future of the masked luchadors, a new report has added further credence to the prospect of Penta and Fenix signing with the Triple H-led promotion.

According to Ibou, aka BackupHangman of WrestlePurists, several sources in WWE believe that Penta El Zero Miedo will be in Orlando—where the company's Performance Center is located—sometime this week. The report does not mention Rey Fenix, although the latter, like Penta, recently filed for several trademarks, suggesting that the former AEW International Champion could join his brother in WWE.

Booker T wants to see AEW's Lucha Bros on WWE's main roster

The wrestling world is currently buzzing over the prospect of Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix signing with WWE amidst conjecture regarding their wrestling future. Booker T, who performs commentary on NXT, recently shared his views on the subject on a recent edition of his podcast, The Hall of Fame.

The former WCW World Champion voiced his excitement at the possibility of The Lucha Brothers arriving in the Stamford-based promotion. He also suggested that the decorated tag team could be allowed to skip a run in WWE's developmental brand and head straight to the main roster, and praised the two men for their skills.

"I love it! Bring the Lucha Brothers in. Put them on the main roster. You can let them cut through NXT and stuff. Those guys are extraordinary talent. Give them a chance," he said. [45:49 - 45:59]
