Nick Aldis addresses AEW's shots towards WWE
All Elite Wrestling has been taking huge jabs towards the WWE since the company came on the scene in 2019. However, WWE rarely acknowledges the company's presence and fires back at the promotion.
Speaking on the Gorilla Position podcast, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis spoke about the shots by All Elite Wrestling and stated that both promotions are at war:
"They [AEW] have made it very clear that they are sort of coming at WWE right? On a number of occasions they've sort of you know and I personally think the whole sort of war thing is just... is silly, I think it's silly on their part. But I think that if you sort of liken it to geopolitics for example it's like if someone's declared a war on you right, like you're sort of you know, it's not like you're going to just sort of throw their name around willy-nilly right?" WWE has been working with a lot of promotions recently like TNA, NOAH, GCW, and more. It will be interesting to see if WWE and All Elite Wrestling put their differences aside and work together in the coming years.
