Dustin Rhodes reportedly just became a free agent. New details regarding his AEW contract have seemingly come to light.

Dustin Rhodes left WWE in April 2019 and joined his half-brother Cody Rhodes in AEW. He has been part of the promotion since then. However, he has only just started to hit his stride in the Jacksonville-based company.

The Natural recently won both the Ring Of Honor World Tag Team and the World Six-Man Tag Team Championship respectively with Sammy Guevara and the Von Erich brothers Marshall and Ross. Needless to say, he is having one of his best years in the pro wrestling business. Rhodes has been a regular feature on ROH in recent months and has been involved in many key storylines.

According to reports from Fightful Select, The Natural's contract with AEW expired either at the end of September or early October, and that he has not appeared for the promotion since his contract expiration.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that both parties are in the middle of contract negotiations but neither has agreed to a deal yet. It is also being reported that Dustin Rhodes has been helping out the women's division in addition to his in-ring responsibilities.

It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan-led company and The Natural will be able to agree upon a new deal soon.
