A two-time TNT Champion will reportedly be taking time off from AEW TV for a while. The star will be away from the company's programming due to a personal reason, as per a report.

Darby Allin has been considered one of the pillars of All Elite Wrestling since the inception of the promotion. He is one of the most beloved babyfaces in the company. The former TNT Champion has been involved in a storyline with The Death Riders for quite some time now.

Allin last wrestled on an episode of Dynamite in December 2024 when his Continental Classic Gold League match against Ricochet ended in a time-limit draw. According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, The Daredevil is on hiatus from in-ring competition at the moment.

It was reported that Darby Allin was not expected to be back on AEW TV for months as he had begun training to climb Mt. Everest. Furthermore, the report stated that Allin could receive a push upon his return around spring.

Allin has opened up on his goal of climbing Mt. Everest in the past and was getting ready for it last year. However, his plans were halted due to injuries.

AEW star Darby Allin was brutally assaulted a few weeks ago

As mentioned earlier, Darby Allin has been involved in a storyline with The Death Riders on AEW TV for months. On an episode of Collision last month, Jon Moxley and his crew launched a backstage assault on Allin. The One True King and his stablemates tried to break The Daredevil's neck and kicked him down the stairs in the process.

The assault angle may be the company's way of sidelining Allin as he reportedly prepares to climb Mt. Everest. Only time will tell when Allin will make his anticipated return and seek retribution against The Death Riders.
