David Arquette wanted to perform in AEW

Arquette also revealed that he had a chat with the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, as he wanted to cast The American Nightmare in a film.
"I was talking to Cody Rhodes about trying to have him in the film; it was right as the AEW stuff was coming together. Yeah, I did [pitch a match]. I thought it'd be so funny, like, 'You disrespected the belt and my dad had it, and I'm going to pay him back!'" he revealed.
In April 2023, David appeared in the promotion's internet television show Hey! (EW). It will be interesting to see if the former WCW World Champion makes an appearance on AEW TV in the future.
