AEW is apparently making overtures to bring a former Women’s Champion to the company. This one has the potential to be a top signing for Tony Khan & Co.

The star in question is none other than Megan Bayne, who was the Women’s Champion in Ohio Valley Wrestling. Bayne has made occasional appearances in AEW in the past, notably on Dark: Elevation and Rampage. She recently finished up with Stardom and returned to the United States.

Fightful Select has now reported that Tony Khan’s company has been making contact with her camp to potentially bring her to AEW. The report also states that Bayne is currently a free agent and is free to work anywhere she pleases.

Although the two sides seem to be in discussions, there is currently no confirmation as to whether or not she will make a move to the Jacksonville-based promotion. In the event that she does sign with All Elite Wrestling, it would be a strong acquisition for an already stacked women's division.

Bayne can potentially have great matches with the roster and one day get to challenge for the Women's World Championship currently held by Toni Storm. Given that she already has experience wrestling there, she shouldn't find it difficult to adapt and make herself feel at home.
