A major backstage name has "finished up" with AEW, according to a recent report. This came as a shock to many fans too.
Jimmy Jacobs joined All Elite Wrestling as a member of the creative team in 2023 after a stint in TNA Wrestling (formerly IMPACT Wrestling). He competed in ROH on two occasions under the new regime, with his last match coming against Satnam Singh in May 2024. Jacobs has also previously worked in WWE, from 2015 to 2017, and some other promotions.
Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp reported that Jimmy Jacobs has "effectively" resigned from his role in All Elite Wrestling over the past week, and both sides remain on amicable terms. It was also noted that the Jacksonville-based promotion was looking to freshen up the "writers room." The report further mentioned that Jacobs was "burned out of late."
The 40-year-old personality worked directly with Tony Khan and was present at "most shows of anyone" during his stint in AEW.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Jimmy Jacobs after his departure from All Elite Wrestling.
