Two former WWE stars who were released from the promotion last year are reportedly set to debut in AEW soon. Since their exit from the global juggernaut, the duo has been active on the independent circuit, competing as a tag team.
The stars in question are Mansoor and Mace (aka Mason Madden). They were released from the Stamford-based promotion alongside many other wrestlers in September 2023. In WWE, they were part of the Maximum Male Models faction. The duo is currently known as MxM on the independent circuit.
According to a recent report by Fightful Select, Mansoor and Mason Madden are booked to appear on AEW Collision this week in Youngstown, Ohio. However, it's unclear what they will do on the show.
The report also suggested that Mason Madden and Mansoor recently held talks with TNA Wrestling and traveled to Uganda to appear in SGW. Moreover, Mansoor was seemingly backstage for an edition of AEW Dynamite in Los Angeles.

Former WWE star Mansoor on whether he is interested in joining AEW
During his WWE tenure, Mansoor picked up some significant wins against popular names like Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler at premium live events in Saudi Arabia. However, he didn't have much success as a member of the Maximum Male Models.
In an interview with Denise Salcedo on Instinct Culture, the 28-year-old star said he was grateful to Tony Khan and would be interested in having talks with AEW.
"Sure. I love AEW primarily because I have a lot of really close friends who don't work at WWE anymore and their families are fed and taken care of because of AEW and Tony Khan and their team. So, for that, I will always be eternally grateful, especially, for the people who got let go during the pandemic," Mansoor said.
In recent months, Mansoor and Mason Madden have wrestled for up-and-coming companies like DPW, GCW, and others. It remains to be seen whether MxM will show up on AEW programming this week.
