A recent report has shed light on Skye Blue's injury from last week's episode of AEW Collision, where her match with Hikaru Shida was stopped midway. Rumors suggest that Blue might have suffered a broken ankle on the Saturday night show.
Skye Blue and Shida had barely gotten into the second gear when the crossbody attempt by the latter on Blue went haywire, resulting in her injury. The former AEW Women's World Champion was announced as the winner by referee stoppage as a teary-eyed Skye Blue was helped to the back by officials.
Tony Khan was quick to provide an update on the 24-year-old, revealing that she had hurt her ankle.

Now, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that the upstart had broken her ankle during the match, meaning she could be out of action for a while. It remains to be seen if AEW and Tony Khan officially disclose the extent of Blue's injury in the coming days. Blue is among the most promising youngsters in the company, and her absence would surely be felt by the viewers.
Another AEW star was recently injured
While Blue suffered an injury on last week's Collision, Dalton Castle met with a similar fate a week before that. A couple of days ago, Tony Khan took to X/Twitter to make the unfortunate announcement, revealing that Castle was injured during his match against Roderick Strong on the July 13 edition of Collision.
Khan also added that Dalton Castle would be out of action for the remainder of the year.
Furthermore, Tony Khan mentioned that this led to a change of plans for the upcoming ROH show, Death Before Dishonor 2024. Following his win over Castle, Strong confirmed his spot in the main event of the July 26th event, where he would challenge Mark Briscoe for the ROH World Championship.
