Industry veteran has been working backstage with AEW for months - Reports

AEW has gathered a dream team for its production staff
AEW has gathered a dream team for its production staff

Despite some growing pains, AEW President Tony Khan has obviously worked hard to assemble the best staff possible to ensure that his company's production is top-notch. According to a new report, a celebrated former TNA staffer has been working with the Jacksonville-based promotion behind the scenes for quite a while.

The veteran in question is music producer Dale Oliver. The legendary composer is known for producing some of TNA's greatest hits, including entrance music for Sting, AJ Styles, and many others. Oliver joined TNA in 2002 and helped create much of the company's iconic entrance and pay-per-view themes.

However, according to Fightful Select, the veteran producer has also been putting in work for AEW recently. Fightful's report states that Oliver has been in the company's production truck for some time now, helping to produce music for All Elite Wrestling's weekly TV shows.

Oliver is known to have co-produced AEW's Symphony Series albums – orchestral reimaginings of the company's top theme songs – last year alongside his son Zane. This may have been the start of his association with the promotion.

It's unclear what kind of deal Dale Oliver has with Tony Khan's company and whether the veteran will have anything further to do with IMPACT, which is set to return to its TNA moniker soon. The report also notes that Oliver's son worked with AEW for a while and is now on the post-production team in Nashville.

AEW President Tony Khan has unveiled a major new event

All Elite Wrestling seems to be heating up as it approaches the end of 2023. The company has a stacked match card for next Saturday's Full Gear pay-per-view, and fans are excited to see the brand-new Worlds End event on December 30. On top of that, Tony Khan's announcement of a new tournament has generated a lot of buzz.

On the most recent episode of Collision, the All Elite Chief announced the arrival of the Continental Classic - a 12-entrant round-robin tournament that will culminate at Worlds End. It was also revealed that Bryan Danielson is the tournament's first entrant.

While it's unclear what the stakes and final prize will be, fans are excited about what many are calling "AEW's G1," referring to New Japan Pro-Wrestling's prestigious annual G1 Climax tournament.

The Continental Classic kicks off on the November 22 edition of Dynamite and will continue for over a month across the company's weekly television shows.
