AEW has shuffled its staff throughout 2024, with several executives joining the company amid departures from old names. A new report has just revealed that the company's Senior Manager of Communications and Public Relations, Jon Schneider, is now departing.
This year alone, All Elite Wrestling has said goodbye to Chief Legal Officer Megha Parekh, lost QT Marshall only to hire him back as Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination, and brought in Kosha Irby as its Chief Operating Officer. The Jacksonville-based promotion is continuing to evolve heading into 2025, and it seems that a spot has just opened up for a fresh face.
Jon Schneider had been with AEW since September 2021. He was promoted to Senior Manager of Communications and Public Relations earlier this year, but according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he's found a new job.
WON has reported that Schneider left the company on December 13, as he'd received an offer for a new position elsewhere. It remains to be seen who Tony Khan will replace him with.
Fan accusing Kosha Irby of wasting money; AEW executive responds
Kosha Irby was hired as AEW's Chief Operating Officer back in February 2024. He took the reins amid a slump in ticket sales, which the company has seemingly only just begun to recover from.
Irby had his work cut out for him, but his enthusiasm for the job on social media has earned him some fans. One user on X/Twitter, however, thinks that the AEW executive has failed. That fan lashed out at Kosha, accusing him of stealing Tony Khan's money. Irby responded with a humorous gif asking if they could be friends, as seen below:
All Elite Wrestling recently secured a lucrative new television contract with Warner Bros. Discovery and will begin simulcasting weekly Dynamite and Collision episodes on the MAX streaming service next month. Whether the company can continue its expansion after a year-long slump remains to be seen.
