Jon Moxley's reign of terror as AEW World Champion continues after he managed to retain his belt at Worlds End 2024. One of his opponents from that night's four-way for the title could be The One True King's challenger at Grand Slam Australia later this year.

Jon Moxley put his belt on the line against Orange Cassidy, Jay White, and Hangman Adam Page at the Tony Khan-led company's final pay-per-view of 2024. The bout ended with the leader of The Death Riders pinning The Switchblade after a running knee from Wheeler Yuta had rocked the latter and then a Death Rider DDT from the defending champion.

White is not through with Moxley, and to that end, he defeated Roderick Strong and Swerve Strickland in a three-way bout on Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen to secure his spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match to be held on this week's episode, the winner of which will be awarded an AEW World Championship opportunity at Dynamite: Maximum Carnage 2025. The Bang Bang Gang member also cost The Death Riders their trios battle against Rated-FTR at Asheville, NC, on New Year's Day.

Whether or not Jay White wins the Casino Gauntlet, the self-proclaimed Catalyst of Professional Wrestling could be poised for a one-on-one showdown with The King of All Elite Wrestling at the promotion's debut in the Land Down Under next month. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, White could challenge Jon Moxley for his title at AEW Grand Slam Australia.

Notably, Mox has never beaten White in singles competition, which could spell bad news for his reign if the two meet in February.

The Death Riders struck again at AEW Collision

The Death Riders responded to the events on Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen on the year's first episode of AEW Collision. Wheeler Yuta issued an ominous threat to Jay White, calling him a marked man for involving himself in the stable's match against Adam Copeland and FTR.

Yuta was cut off by Jon Moxley, who voiced his sincere respect for The Top Guys and The Rated-R Superstar. However, he warned the trio that they would have to transform themselves significantly to survive the domination of The Death Riders in All Elite Wrestling. The villainous faction also physically restrained the legendary The Rock N' Roll Express and ambushed The Outrunners backstage during the show.

It remains to be seen how FTR and Cope respond to Moxley and his soldiers this week on Dynamite.
