With this year's edition of WrestleDream starting in under half an hour, a report regarding Adam Cole's status has just surfaced. This has seemingly provided a major update on him four and a half months since his last appearance on AEW television.

The Panama City Playboy was last seen at Double or Nothing in May, earlier this year. At the time he came in without crutches or any form of assistance as he cut a quick promo. The returning MJF eventually confronted him, and things got physical between the former best friends.

According to the report from Fightful Select, Adam Cole is in town for tonight's pay-per-view. The show will be taking place at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. It is interesting to note that he was backstage at All Out and has also been in attendance for several editions of AEW Dynamite. None of his faction mates in the Undisputed Kingdom are scheduled for tonight's show.

Adam Cole is said to be nearing an in-ring return

Concerning in-ring appearances, Adam Cole has not been in a match in over a year. He was last seen in the ring at All Out 2023, teaming up with MJF as they defended their ROH World Tag Team Championship.

According to a recent report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cole's in-ring return is imminent. He has looked to be in a significantly better condition lately, and he was reportedly just waiting for medical clearance.

The former NXT Champion also stands as the leader of the Undisputed Kingdom, and the group seems to be in a slump in his absence. It doesn't help that another one of their members, Wardlow has also been out of action.

Should Cole return to action, it remains to be seen how he'll re-introduce himself to a roster that has made so many changes in his absence. How the Undisputed Kingdom bounces back will also bear watching.
