Sammy Guevara has seemingly suffered a serious injury. He was seen being stretched out of a recent event.
The Ring of Honor tapings took place before this week's AEW Dynamite episode aired live on TV. Sammy faced off against Serpentico during the ROH tapings. Those in attendance reported that he had an awkward landing while hitting a cutter on his opponent and thus sustained an injury.
The referee immediately stopped that match and medics came out to check on him. A while later, Sean Ross Sapp provided an update on the situation. Taking to X (fka Twitter), Sapp revealed that Guevara was stretched out of the arena.
"I'm told Sammy Guevara was stretchered out of the ROH tapings after apparently being knocked out. Hoping all the best for him," Sapp reported.

A new report from PWTorch provided a further update on Sammy's condition on their website. The report mentions that The Spanish God is fine and "was walking around backstage on his own." It seems like the injury was not as serious as it initially looked. Neither AEW nor Sammy has commented on the matter yet.
Sammy Guevara on his match against Kazuchika Okada
Last week on AEW Collision: Grand Slam, Sammy Guevara faced Kazuchika Okada in an AEW Continental Title Eliminator match, which he lost. Following the bout, he commented on squaring off against "one of the greats" in the business.
"Closed out Arthur Ashe Stadium against Okada. It was an honor to step in the ring with one of the greats. Congrats on the win I’ll see you down the line. It wasn’t my night but it doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be, we continue on. #destiny," Sammy wrote.
The former TNT Champion is currently one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions with Dustin Rhodes. Meanwhile, The Rainmaker is the reigning AEW Continental Champion.
