A recent report has given a much-needed update on Saraya, whose unexplained absence from AEW has left her legion of fans confused. The former Women's Champion is seemingly occupied with projects out of pro wrestling.
Saraya last competed in All Elite Wrestling on the October 8 episode of Dynamite, where she participated in a four-way match, also featuring Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, and Nyla Rose. After she failed to come out on top in the bout that Nightingale won, the former Divas Champion disappeared from TV, with Harley Cameron claiming that her on-screen ally was "incapacitated."
The Glampire even recently made it clear on X/Twitter that she wasn't injured when fans began worrying about her health amid her absence. Sean Ross Sapp has now provided an update on Fightful Wrestling's Q&A session. He said the former AEW Women's World Champion was busy with assignments outside the company. It was also noted that there were no concerns about her health and that she was doing fine.

“She’s fine and she’s okay. She’s working on other projects and agreed to the one-year extension with AEW," Sapp said. (H/T - Ringside News)
Saraya struck a new deal with AEW earlier this year
A couple of months ago, reports emerged about Saraya's deal with the Tony Khan-led promotion expiring. As expected, this immediately led to rumors about her potentially leaving the company and returning to WWE. However, it was soon confirmed that the 32-year-old had agreed to a one-year contract extension with AEW.
Following this, she engaged in a short but heated feud with the returning Jamie Hayter. The two performers had a memorable outing on AEW Collision on September 25, where the former Divas Champion fell short.
Fans have been missing Saraya, and it's safe to assume that she could receive a warm welcome when she finally returns to TV. In her absence, Harley Cameron has made great strides with her comic timing and wit. It remains to be seen how their equation develops when the former WWE star eventually returns.
