Information regarding Buddy Matthews' re-signing with AEW has come to light, including when he signed his new contract and additional details regarding the arrangement.
The future of two members of the House of Black has been a topic of conversation over the past months. Yesterday, Ibou of WrestlePurists revealed that Matthews had signed a new deal with the promotion. Malakai Black's contract, on the other hand, was said to be up "relatively soon."
According to a new report from Fightful Select, a new deal for the Australian star needed to be extended some time ago. It was also mentioned that AEW may have had option years on Buddy Matthews, but whether this was a new deal or option years had been picked up, the internal idea was that this was decided way back.
Supporting this report was another recent report from PWInsider which mentioned that the deal came to be back in February. However, the length of this was not disclosed.
As of this point, there is no info regarding the contract of Brody King, but with Matthews extending his time with AEW, it is safe to assume the House of Black will remain together for the time being.
