Several major stars are still missing from AEW and ROH television, but one fan-favorite recently made a shocking comeback. A new report has now indicated how Danhausen was received backstage upon his return.
Danhausen had been absent from television all year, but he returned at ROH Final Battle earlier this month to assist Atlantis Jr. in his match against Mansoor. The face-painted star, who hadn't been seen since December 2023, emerged from under the ring to nail Mason Madden and allow Atlantis Jr. to turn the tables on MxM.
Danhausen's status and future are currently up in the air, but according to Fightful Select, he was received warmly backstage at Final Battle. Fightful noted that most of the talents were happy to see that he had returned. Judging by the reaction he received when he appeared at ringside, the fans were happy, too.
There had been rumors that the face-painted star refused to work for Tony Khan's promotions, but they were recently dispelled. You can check out that report here.
Danhausen is adjusting to AEW's updated roster
Danhausen has been away from AEW TV for so long that the company now features several top stars who weren't signed when he last competed. The 34-year-old `is curious about them, and he recently asked fans about one in particular.
Danhausen has always been obsessed with money, so it's no surprise that he's interested in Mercedes Mone. Following his return at ROH Final Battle, he took to X (fka Twitter) to ask fans how much money the TBS Champion had.
"How many money does Money Monet have? Blimp money?" Danhausen asked.
The "Very Nice, Very Evil" star has yet to return to AEW's weekly shows, but he still has some friends on the roster. Whether fans will see him compete for Tony Khan's promotions in 2025 remains to be seen.
