MJF was not present for this week's episode of AEW Dynamite. New details have now come to light regarding his absence.
After he was brutally assaulted by Daniel Garcia at AEW All Out after their match, Maxwell Jacob Friedman was off TV until his return at WrestleDream 2024. He attacked Garcia and then renewed his rivalry with Adam Cole who also made a return and chased away the Salt of The Earth.
However, since WrestleDream, Friedman has been missing from TV. This past week on Dynamite, he appeared on the titantron and was receiving a massage from a mystery woman. Maxwell then issued a challenge to Adam Cole and Roderick Strong that the first person to win three singles matches will face him at Full Gear 2024.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select is now reporting that Maxwell was kept off TV between All Out and WrestleDream because he was filming movies. That is also the reason he hasn't appeared in person since October 12. Friedman was cast in Happy Gilmore 2 where he will play the role of Gordie, one of Happy Gilmore's sons.

MJF lashes out at Adam Cole after recent revelation
MJF and Adam Cole have been engaged in a feud for the past several months. However, this rivalry is taking a lot longer to develop since Cole suffered a serious foot injury last year that kept him out of action for a year. Cole recently revealed that a bone was donated from a dead body and installed in his foot.
Maxwell Jacon Friedman caught wind of this news and took to social media to call his former best friend a grave robber.
"Go ahead. Cheer the grave robber," MJF wrote.

It will be interesting to see if both Adam Cole and Maxwell Jacob Friedman will be able to put this rivalry behind them anytime soon.
