It has just been announced that Ricky Starks has just been pulled out from some shows AEW booked him in. The Absolute One has not been seen on the Tony Khan-led promotion since March.

His absence was not due to injury, but it seems that both sides have not agreed on creative ideas for him. Last Saturday, Starks surprisingly appeared at a GCW show and voiced his concerns about his current situation.
He mentioned not wanting to let his career freeze out. Despite this promo, the AEW star was spotted backstage at Full Gear later that night, much to the surprise of many, as this was his first appearance backstage in a while.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has just reported that sources within GCW have relayed to him that AEW has canceled all of Ricky Starks' upcoming appearances on the promotion. This includes his recently announced match against Matt Cardona, which was scheduled for December 14 at GCW: Highest in the Room 3.
It was also reported earlier today that Ricky Starks' contract with the company has been extended. He'll remain with All Elite Wrestling until the summer or spring of 2025. It remains to be seen whether he'll be used in any capacity until then.

Growing up, Enzo admired former world champions like AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, Triple H, and Randy Orton for their finishing moves. As an adult, he started to appreciate their character work, as they juggled between heel and babyface gimmicks.
If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
