Swerve Strickland recently re-signed with AEW, and his deal is said to put him in the top echelon of wrestling talent. A new report has indicated that WWE was unhappy with this development, and The Young Bucks have now given their reaction.

Swerve Strickland held the AEW World Championship for four months and became a bonafide top star during that time. Strickland's new deal will reportedly keep him in the company until 2028 and is said to be one of the biggest contracts in the history of Tony Khan's promotion.

As a publically traded company, WWE carefully manages its finances, but AEW's existence, specifically, its ability to set to the market for free agent signings and talent salaries, can be seen as a disruptive force. The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer indicated today that the Stamford-based promotion was unhappy about Strickland's new deal, as it was "far over what WWE would perceive the market value" to be.

The Young Bucks reacted to this report today in classic style. The All Elite EVPs changed the bio on their X (fka Twitter) account to reflect Strickland's new deal and their nonchalant attitude toward WWE's unhappiness:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"As long as we got paid more than everyone, we're happy for them," read the bio.

WWE has reportedly given up on recruiting AEW's Daniel Garcia

Rumors recently circulated about Daniel Garcia's status in All Elite Wrestling. The 25-year-old was absent from television for a few months in the lead-up to All In 2024, and reports indicated that his contract was set to expire soon.

Garcia allegedly considered signing with WWE, but it seems he'll be sticking with the Jacksonville-based promotion for the time being. The Wrestling Observer recently reported that WWE had moved on from its attempts to recruit the Buffalo native.

"Those in WWE believe that Daniel Garcia has decided to stay with AEW despite attempts to recruit him," stated the report.

Garcia has entered a feud with MJF and recently wowed fans with a passionate promo on Dynamite. The young star is rising up the ranks quickly, but whether he can get his hands on a title in the next year remains to be seen.
