A report claimed Tony Khan may have secretly signed two former WWE Superstars to AEW. The stars being discussed are Mace and Mansoor.
The 28-year-old star was signed in 2018. Meanwhile, the 6'8" star was part of a faction called Retribution. WWE brought them together in 2022. The two superstars worked with LA Knight in the Maximum Male Models tag team.
The trio was highly entertaining and had short feuds during 2022. However, while LA Knight was slated for a big push, he left the faction for a singles run, shattering the group's momentum. Mace and Mansoor were released in 2023.

After their departure from WWE, Mace and Mansoor started working in independent promotions. They are also close friends with Dijak, another former WWE Superstar. The Maximum Male Models were reportedly backstage during Collision's first anniversary show. It was unclear whether they were signed to the Jacksonville-based promotion at that time.

According to a recent report from Fightful, it is suggested that Tony Khan might have signed Mace and Mansoor to AEW. While their contractual status is still not confirmed, they have at least been in talks about working for AEW and ROH.
“We have been told they were in talks with AEW/ROH about coming in. I believe that they are signed, but I have not been given that confirmation as of yet.” (H/T Ringside News)

AEW has been highly beneficial for many independent stars throughout the world as many wrestlers get mainstream attention, who weren't signed by WWE.
Speaking on Instinct Culture, the 28-year-old star said he is grateful for Tony Khan and AEW as they employ many of his close friends.
"I love AEW. Primarily because I have a lot of really close friends who don't work at WWE anymore and their families are fed and taken care of because of AEW and Tony Khan and their team. So, for that, I will always be eternally grateful, especially, for the people who got let go during the pandemic. I mean, there are people who would've been deported," he said.
It will be interesting to see when and if the tag team will debut in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
