A top AEW star is looking to get fired from the promotion after rumors of his potential WWE debut on social media. The star is Rey Fenix who has been with All Elite Wrestling since 2019.
Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero reportedly planned on leaving AEW together. However, Fenix's contract situation has prevented him from leaving the company, unlike Penta, who departed All Elite Wrestling a couple of weeks ago.
The former International Champion has been voicing his frustrations on social media by claiming that he suffered inhumane treatment in All Elite Wrestling. Rey Fenix's posts have now been deleted. However, a recent report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed that Rey Fenix is looking to get fired from the company.
“Rey Fenix, who is currently under a contract extended due to injury time while Penta’s deal expired at the end of the month, has hinted about bad treatment. He’s been vague for contract reasons, but it looks like it’s a situation regarding an injury and seeing a doctor, I think right now Fenix is looking at being fired." [H/T:RingsideNews]

Konnan shared his thoughts on Lucha Bros' situation in AEW
Wrestling veteran Konnan has worked with The Lucha Brothers in the past. He recently gave his thoughts on Tony Khan’s handling of the duo in their last days in All Elite Wrestling.
In a recent edition of the Keepin It 100 podcast, Konnan revealed that he would have used The Lucha Brothers to put over young talent on their way out.
"This is what I would do. I would use them. I would bury them. And then they can go when the contract's over. The thing is, he's tacked on time, which is prerogative, because Fenix was injured. But they are still getting paid," Konnan said. [From 4:38 to 5:01]
We will have to wait and see if Tony Khan decides to release Rey Fenix from his AEW contract in the near future.
