Two popular figures from the UK independent wrestling scene are close to signing with AEW ahead of All In 2024. The stars in question are Michael Oku and Amira Blair.
On August 11, 2024, Maxwell Jacob Friedman defended his AEW American Championship at RevPro Summer Sizzler against Michael Oku. Incidentally, it was reported some time earlier that the reigning Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion would figure in the company's programming ahead of its upcoming pay-per-view, All In 2024. The report suggested that Oku, along with Amira Blair, was being considered for Dynamite tapings in Cardiff, Wales on August 21, and for a prospective appearance in Wembley Stadium at All In as well.
A new report from Fightful Select has claimed that Michael Oku and Amira Blair are expected to sign with AEW soon, as per sources from RevPro. No deal has been penned yet officially, and sources in the Tony Khan-led company have supposedly not heard or been able to confirm the news. However, they did suggest that Oku's participation in AEW's imminent shows in the UK would not surprise them.
Furthermore, RevPro talent have reportedly voiced their hope that Michael Oku will be signed by All Elite Wrestling, expressing the opinion that he deserves to feature on the company. Sources also emphasized that Oku and Amira are likely to appear at All In 2024.

Michael Oku commented on being in contact with AEW CEO Tony Khan
Following recent rumors regarding his potential All Elite future, Michael Oku confessed to having been in contact with Tony Khan during a recent interview with Stephanie Chase. He talked about wrestling Will Ospreay in front of Tony Khan earlier this year, and the line of communication with the All Elite Wrestling CEO, who was present in the venue, opened up between the two. He also teased further involvement with the Jacksonville-based promotion in the future, although he refused to share exact details at the time.
"I’m trying to find the right way to answer this. I think that’s the most I can confirm is that there’s been contact made, which obviously makes sense. I wrestled Will [Ospreay] earlier in the year in front of Tony Khan, I got to meet Tony Khan, and have a conversation with him there at the venue as it happened. This match happens with MJF, they’ve posted my promo on their channels, they’re promoting this. So, there’s been contact to allow these things to happen with AEW, so there’s been contact of what we can potentially do in the future. I’ll leave it there [laughs]," Michael Oku said. It remains to be seen if and when Michael Oku appears on All Elite Wresting television.
