Hologram has been one of the most entertaining wrestlers in AEW over the past couple of months. However, an unfortunate update has come to light regarding his status.
Hologram made his AEW debut earlier this year and has since captivated fans with his unique high-flying offense in the ring. He has quickly become a fan favorite and is on the receiving end of a major push.
Although the AEW star has taken on guys much bigger than him, he has managed to hold his own and has even emerged victorious. Currently, he is undefeated in AEW and has beaten Action Andretti, Komander, Beast Mortos, and Nick Wayne.
At AEW WrestleDream 2024, the 25-year-old star faced off against Beast Mortos in a Best Two out of Three Falls match and emerged victorious. This week on Collision, the young star was taken out by La Faccion Ingobernable.
Luchablog is now reporting that the young star suffered an injury during his WrestleDream match against Beast Mortos, and his segment on Saturday was to write him off TV. It is reported that he could be out of action until after Full Gear.
"In related news, Hologram got hurt near the end of the PPV match with Mortos, might not return until after Full Gear, that bit on Saturday with LFI was them explaining why he was gone, I guess I'm the one reporting this."
Konnan confirms the identity of Hologram
Hologram is a mysterious character conceived by AEW President Tony Khan. However, very little is known about his true identity. It was reported that the man under the mask used to go by the name Aramis.
Speaking on his Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan confirmed that Aramis is the person behind the mask.
"I thought the gimmick was a little cheesy. Let me pop on the particle and QR code and don't forget their older uncle barcode. (...) Hologram is one of my boys from AAA that I helped cultivate, he wrestled by the name of Aramis. We had so much talent when he was there, that he was actually in the holding pattern. But this kid could definitely go. With everybody that goes there, soon he will be just another guy," he said. (00:25 - 01:05)
It's sad to hear that this promising star got injured just when his career in AEW was starting to take off.
